Welcome to InSuesShoes.com!
I’m thrilled you visited this new, exciting site—and I’m ECSTATIC beyond m’brains that this has come to fruition.
It’s been a stop-n-go journey of various traveled shoes (see what I did there?) to arrive where we stand today. A vision for more years than I care to admit, recent steps have now allowed me to stand on this platform of positivity to say a happy “hello!” to you.
Each month, we’ll look at different roles we play in life—and which proverbial shoes we must lace up, slip on or snuggle within to keep our worlds a’turning.
And in June, it’s fitting to introduce you to this online community of positivity and friendship. It took racing to complete duties in my former executive editor role over a women’s magazine, a move from the Midwest to Idaho–and 6 months later BACK to the Midwest, two kid graduations and more caffeine than my doc would say is healthy. But, here we are. Recovered and better for the experiences.
June is such a ‘running shoes’ kind of month, isn’t it? We’re all racing from one end-of-school-get-the-lake-house-ready-for-kids-and-maybe-even-grandkids busyness, and schedules change BIG TIME. We have grad parties, Father’s Day gatherings, dad gifts and impromptu cookouts (my fave).
We are constantly on the go.
So, at InSuesShoes.com, please relax. Unlace those tennies, grab an iced tea, kick up your feet and explore this site. Then dig deeper. There’s so much on this community created just for you. Check it all out. Add your comments. Send me a pic of your sweet pooch, or tweet at me saying “InSuesShoes” 5 times fast. Hashtag your tweet: #sayitinsuesshoes to be put on our homepage. Why? Because it’s fun.
Laugh with us. This community is for you.
This June, let’s hustle like boss, ladies, and get ‘er done. But, let’s also remember to breathe. Let’s strive for self-improvement, but also embrace who we are at our core. Let’s shoot for our goals, but enjoy every small moment possible.
Like right now, as you’re relaxing, reading and doing something just for special you.
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
